When you sign in using Google, we collect:

Gameplay Data

• Concepts you discover and create
• Recipes you discover and create
• Your collections and progress
• The state of the board at all times

Technical & Analytics Data

We automatically collect certain technical information:

• IP address and approximate location (country)
• Browser type and version
• Device type and screen size
• Pages visited
• Interactions like mouse movements, clicks, etc.
• Session duration and timestamps
• Referral source

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Show your picture and name in the account sections, leaderboards and multiplayer boards
• Save your game progress and discoveries across devices
• Improve and optimize the game experience
• Analyze usage patterns and fix bugs
• Prevent fraud and bots

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect information:

Payments & Subscriptions (Paddle)

If you purchase a subscription, payments are processed by Paddle. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for your purchase and processes your payment, handles taxes/VAT (where applicable), issues invoices/receipts, and manages chargebacks/refunds.

We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Paddle collects and processes payment and billing details (such as payment method information, billing address, country, tax information, and transaction metadata).

We may receive limited information from Paddle to operate your subscription, such as subscription status, plan, renewal/cancellation dates, transaction IDs, and invoice/receipt information, and (depending on your checkout details) limited purchaser information like email and billing country.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use cookies and local storage to provide and improve our service. Essential cookies maintain your login session and remember your preferences (theme, volume, UI settings). These cannot be disabled.

The third-party services listed above (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Microsoft Clarity) also set their own cookies for analytics and performance monitoring.

If you purchase a subscription, Paddle may also set cookies or use local storage as part of the checkout flow, security, fraud prevention, and purchase session management.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent you from staying logged in or saving your preferences.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:

• Other players in multiplayer sessions (limited to display name and game actions)

We retain your account information and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us (see introduction). Analytics data is retained according to each third-party provider's policies.

If you purchase a subscription, billing and transaction records may be retained for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and legal compliance purposes, even if you request deletion of your account.

Children's Privacy

Concepts is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of the page.
